Barbara A. Harris
Licensed, Board Certified Massage Therapist

She enjoys the numerous outdoor sports and adventures Alaska has to offer, including snow machining, dirt-biking, water crafting, four wheeling, hiking, fishing and scuba diving. Barbara can be found doing many of these activities with her family and friends; she especially enjoys bringing her boxer, Blade, on her many outdoor adventures.

Barbara joined the Northern Chiropractic team in January of 2001. She offers a variety of different massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and sports massage.


Barbara became a licensed and certified massage therapist in 2000 after graduating from the University of Alaska Anchorage massage therapy program. She is licensed and certified in Alaska as well as nationally. Barbara enjoys enhancing her education by attending continuing education courses in many different types of techniques. Some of these courses have included Lomi Lomi massage, British sports massage, lymphatic massage, shoulder injuries, the Berry method, positional release technique, muscle energy technique and modern neuromuscular technique. Barbara has also attended a course conducted by James Waslaski in orthopedic massage and pain management, as well as a course conducted by George Kousaleos in myofascial release technique.

Barbara is a professional member of both the American Massage Therapy Association and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Diana Yanez

Licensed, Board Certified Massage Therapist

Diana_1.jpgDiana is originally from Riverside, CA. She moved to Alaska from San Jose, CA. in April 2010. Diana enjoys painting, cooking, dabbling in scenic photography and hiking–especially now that she lives in Alaska. Diana also enjoys going on walks with her loving basset hound, Wilber, or sometimes just snuggling up with him. An ideal evening for Diana is spending time with good people, eating good food and listening to good music.

Diana joined the Northern Chiropractic team in June of 2010. She graduated and was certified in 2007 from The National Holistic Institute in San Jose, CA. Diana is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and is licensed in the Municipality of Anchorage. She brings with her a variety of massage techniques that include: Swedish, shiatsu, Thai massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial therapies, hot stone, acupressure, aromatherapy, foot reflexology, prenatal massage and lymphatic massage.

Erin Kenney, Office Administrator

Erin_1.jpgErin joined the Northern Chiropractic team in December 2010. Being the first and last contact with patients in the office, Erin has many responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities include: greeting patients and visitors, maintaining the patient schedule and answering patients’ questions. Erin always has a smile on her face and takes any opportunity to crack a joke in order to spread her enthusiasm for life.

Erin was born and raised in Alaska and has spent most of those years in Eagle River. Erin is working on her Bachelor's degree through the University of Alaska Anchorage and has also attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Erin enjoys many aspects of Alaska, but she ultimately finds herself at a warm, sandy beach or thinking about a warm, sandy beach.

Arielle Van Vleet, Accounts Receivable

Open_House__2009_061_1.jpgArielle joined the Northern Chiropractic team in June 2009. Arielle began working at the front desk and has since moved into insurance billing and collections. Arielle's take charge attitude has made her an assett to the insurance process at Northern Chiropractic. Arielle goes above and beyond to help the patients' with getting their claims paid by the insurance companies.

Arielle is a lifelong Alaskan and loves it! She graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in History. Arielle enjoys spending time reading, being with friends and family, learning, and enjoying all that the state has to offer. Most of the time, she can be found spending her time with her husband and son.

Carma Johnston, Chiropractic Assistant

Carma began working for Northern Chiropractic in August 2011. She helps assist Dr. Culbert with many aspects of patient care, such as inferential muscle stimulation heat/cold therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, stretch and exercise, patient exams and patient x-rays.

Carma has lived in Eagle River for over 24 years. During the 24 years she has worked in the Early Childhood Education field; where she has her degree. Carma’s experience in the customer service industry for companies such as Alaska USA Mortgage, Alaska Communications’ Systems and Xerox, have prepared her for her newest endeavor as a Chiropractic Assistant. Carma loves to spend time with her family at their remote cabin. She also loves dancing, going snow machining, dirt biking, fishing and enjoying a good meal cooked over an open fire with friends.

Julia Jette, Office Manager & Marketing/PR Manager

She began working at the front desk, then moved into insurance billing/collections and is now the team’s office manager. Julia also handles all the marketing and public relations for the office. She is the main contact for all advertising, marketing, public relations and media questions.

Born and raised in Alaska, Julia graduated with honors from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Communications. Julia enjoys enriching her mind, writing, hanging out with her family, four wheeling, camping, fishing, playing golf, scuba diving and traveling. Put simply, she enjoys all things Alaska with Alaskan style.
